Anchorage is a military town. On this Veterans Day, many service people who live here are deployed overseas. This week on Hometown, Alaska we’ll explore the challenges of being a military family with a member in Iraq, including the special issues of living in Alaska. We’ll also talk to a Vietnam veteran who ended up settling here, a common retirement decision for service members who spend some of their time stationed in Alaska.
