On a Friday evening in late September the UAA Honors College welcomed Howard Weaver, former editor of the Anchorage Daily News, to campus to discuss the ever-changing media scene.
Weaver’s speech, “Information Saturation: Sustaining a Place for Journalism in a Ubiquitous Media World,” draws on his decades of experience as a professional journalist — experience that started in Anchorage and captured two Pulitzer Prizes in 1976 and 1989. Today Weaver works as a VP for The McClatchy Company and guides editorial and strategic planning for some 80 newspapers nationwide.
We’re broadcasting the speech on FM 91.1 this evening at 8:00 p.m. or you can listen to and/or download the speech right here.

When will Encounters return to KSKA? I caught it one morning on KNBA so wonder why it hasn’t returned. Thanks
