Official Rules: $2,500 Shopping Spree Sweepstakes

A. HOW TO ENTER

  1. Each Sweepstakes contribution of $25 or more made by credit card online or by mail to Alaska Public Telecommunications, Inc. (APTI) between Oct. 15, 2007 and 5 p.m. on Nov. 15, 2007 is automatically entered in the $2,500 Shopping Spree Sweepstakes contest sponsored by The Mall at Sears.
  2. Each online contribution of $25 or more should be sent to kakm.org/spree or kska.org/spree. Each contribution made by check or cash can be mailed or dropped off to APTI at 3877 University Drive, Anchorage, AK 99508. Official Entry forms are available at APTI.
  3. No contribution is necessary to enter and win. To enter without a contribution, send a 3.5” x 5” postcard with your name, address and phone number to APTI Sweepstakes, 3877 University Drive, Anchorage, AK 99508.
  4. All entrants must be 18 years old or older. One entry per household.

B. NOTIFICATION OF WINNER

  1. Officials of APTI will supervise all drawings. Their decisions will be final.
  2. APTI will conduct daily random prize drawings Monday - Friday from Nov. 5, 2007 through Nov. 16, 2007 from all entries received up to execution of drawing. If APTI is unable to reach the DAILY PRIZE winner or the DAILY PRIZE winner is unable to accept the prize within 14 calendar days, the un-awarded prize will go to another randomly selected entrant.
  3. APTI will award the Shopping Spree Sweepstakes GRAND PRIZE by random drawing at Noon on Nov. 16, 2007. A winner and five (5) backup names for the GRAND PRIZE will be selected on Nov. 2, 2007. If APTI is unable to reach the GRAND PRIZE winner or the winner is unable to accept the prize within 14 calendar days, the un-awarded prize will go to the first backup winner and subsequent backup winners until the prize is awarded.
  4. Winners must provide identification upon request. Winners must provide their Social Security number for tax purposes. Winners may be asked to sign affidavits of eligibility and a release form.
  5. A winners list, including name and city of residence, will be posed on the web at kakm.org/spree and kska.org/spree.

C. GENERAL RULES

  1. Employees of APTI and their immediate families or co-inhabitants are not eligible to enter.
  2. By participating in the Sweepstakes, participants agree that APTI and related organizations, their agents and employees have no liability whatsoever for injuries, losses, or damages of any kind which result from use of the prize or by participation in the contest.
  3. APTI may use winners’ names and likeness for publicity purposes without further compensation. Taxes and expenses as a result of winning these prizes are the winner’s responsibility. Winner will receive an IRS form 1099 with the exact value of the prize at year-end.
  4. All contributions support APTI, Alaska Public Telecommunications, Inc., a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) institution. KAKM and KSKA are the TV and FM licensees of APTI.

D. RESTRICTIONS

  1. By participating in the $2,500 Shopping Spree Sweepstakes, a participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules, and by all decisions of the contest judges.
