Reichman directs this 1930’s American classic poking fun at the tax system, welfare, market capitalism and materialism. You Can’t Take it With You opens at Cyrano’s on March 12.

Stage Talk: Inherit the Wind

Based on the 1925 Scopes “Monkey” Trial, Inherit in the Wind tells the story of John T. Scopes, a Tennessee teacher who was convicted for teaching his high school science class about Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution. Opening tonight at the Machetanz theater in Wasilla, Elizebeth Hanson and Larry Burton from Valley Performing Arts join Stage Talk hosts Mark and Jean to talk about how the themes of the play remain relevant today.

UAA’s College of Arts in Sciences in conjunction with UAA’s Geology Department presents Terra Nova October 9 – 25 as a tribute to the sciences and as a dedication to UAA’s new ConocoPhillips Integrated Science Building opening Fall 2009.
