Nine months a year or sometimes more, Bill Fabris and Jerry Steichen spend touring the world in different theater and musical productions. Back in one of the many places they call home, Bill and Jerry reunite with good friend Kate Egan in for Cyrano’s production of Souvenir and they join hosts Sandy and Dick on this month’s edition of Alaska Radio Reader Rambler.

Alaska Radio Reader Rambler: Alaska Film Office opens

On this month’s edition of Alaska Radio Reader Rambler,guests Carolyn Robinson and Jack Bonney discuss the grand opening of the Anchorage Film Office at the Convention and Visitors Bureau. For films that qualify, companies that choose to shoot in Alaska will now receive tax credit’s up to 44 percent. There are added credits for hiring Alaskans, as well as shooting in rural areas and in the winter.

On this month’s Alaska Radio Reader Rambler, Alaskan authors and ‘49 Writers’ bloggers Andromeda Romano-Lax and Deb Vanase stop by to discuss the opening of the Alaska Writing Center at Raven Place where they will hold workshops, clinics, classes, writers in residence, meeting space, space for book signings, readings, and author events. Guest host rentals will help fund the non-profit writing center located downtown across the street from Snow City Café and Simon and Seaforts restaurant.
