Membership Manager
Department: Development
Reports To: Director of Individual Giving

SUMMARY:
The Membership Manager is a key position in the APTI Development Department. Individual donors contribute over 1.5 million dollars annually through KAKM and KSKA memberships and major gifts – with membership constituting the largest category of organizational revenue.
The Membership Manager is responsible for the planning, implementation and oversight of all Membership level ($10 – $999) development campaigns – from direct mail to email contact to local television and radio appeals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop a working knowledge of current events and trends in public media, with an eye for community engagement and membership development.
- Plan and implement several annual on-air, online and direct mail campaigns (donor acquisition, renewal, additional gift, expired, challenge grants, Kids’ Club).
- Take a lead role in the production of live and recorded television and radio material for fundraising and other development purposes.
- Acquire, schedule and manage fundraising content across various platforms (TV, FM, online).
- Manage and develop a robust group of individual and organizational community volunteers.
- Manage online donation portals and develop and maintain a consistent membership presence on the organization’s web properties.
- Take a lead role in donor database management.
- Provide comprehensive and consistent campaign reporting and analysis.
- Participates as a member of the Development Team in departmental planning and budgeting
- Represent APTI and its projects in a variety of public settings

Web Producer

SUMMARY:
The Web Producer is responsible for preparing and posting material to the Alaska Public Telecommunications (APTI) Web sites. The Web Producer will be proficient in editing, preparing and posting material, keep abreast of contemporary Web issues; uphold the highest journalistic standards and ethics; work comfortably and professionally with internal and external stakeholders; and perform a range of other editorial or promotional duties as required.
The Web Producer will:
- Edit and post stories, photos, video and podcasts in a timely and efficient manner.
- Write, edit and post promotional material for APTI programs.
- Work with news staff to expand APTI’s Web presence.
- Help implement social media initiatives – such as Facebook and Twitter.
- Collaborate with other local web editors to curate content.
- Work with the development staff to plan and implement Web programs that support development and membership initiatives.
- Help revise, enhance and redesign the APTI sites as needed.
- Troubleshoot and quickly respond to various software or technical issues.
- The Web Producer will be responsible for ensuring the APTI Web site is current and engaging to various APTI audiences. This effort not only includes working with the news and programming staff, but also with the development, membership and engagement staffs.
- The Web Producer will work closely with the Director of Public Media to integrate social media programs into APTI initiatives, harness the power of citizen journalism, and help develop programs that allies APTI with other community organizations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree.
- Proficiency in various Web and editing programs such Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition, GarageBand, and iMovie.
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and audiences.
- Ability to work in a team-based organization.
- Appreciation for high standards and journalistic principles.
- Experience working in a news, communication, publication, broadcast or Web environment.
