School district begins dealing with a sizeable budget shortfall

The Anchorage School District is facing a projected fifteen million dollar plus fiscal gap for its 2010-2011 budget. Last night School Superintendent Carol Comeau asked the school board for some initial guidance as staff prepares the first step in the lengthy budget process.
