A healthy community balances the needs and wants of all stakeholders. I support planning and zoning and I have property in the Mat-Su Borough. So although I likely have a different opinion regarding “it’s my property and I’ll do what I want,” I was disturbed by the abrupt end to Chuck’s first call – especially as no other callers were waiting [the hosts and guests spoke at length following his call]; further, I was offended by the comment that if Chuck wanted to have “an adult conversation” he should call the planner. In fact, he did call, but was not fully heard at that time. Additionally, the planning process does have to balance concerns such as his. He began that process and the PLANNER now has an obligation TO CONTACT HIM.
