Today KSKA recognizes the Military Order of the Purple Heart, launching an extraordinary expedition today (Saturday) by America’s heroes to successfully summit Mt. Denali, after more than a year of intensive preparations.
You heard the team leader of Operation Denali, Lieutenant Colonel Marc Hoffmeister on KSKA back in 2007. In between tours, Lieutenant Hoffmeister moderated a panel of soldiers discussing their Iraq War experiences. Expert says diversity has practical rewards

The more an organization embraces diversity, the more successful it’s likely to be. That was the message of a Vancouver University professor and theologian who conducted a dialogue yesterday in Anchorage on Race and Diversity in the Workplace.

Congratulations to six Anchorage School district students that earned National Merit Scholarships. They are:

Extraordinary people in our community are doing extraordinary things. Brava! Bravo! is KSKA’s way of applauding the accomplishments of Alaskans and spreading the word of their achievements with our listeners. Way to go!
