One of the many cakes at KSKA, the cake in this ADN article celebrates KSKA’s power boost in 1983. KSKA FM 103.1 became FM 91.1 and increased power from 3,000 to 36,000 watts of power. Today KSKA broadcasts at 100,000 watts.

Hi, I have been an longtime listener and supporter of KSKA for the last 25 years. I recently moved away from Anchorage to rejoin the Army to go to Iraq, but I still listen to KSKA on the web. The people and the programming are some of the best I’ve ever heard. I can’t wait to return to Anchorage and to KSKA!

and of course…the biggest thing I miss?

    Bede going “Yippee!!! It’s Friday!”

Congrats on 30 years..and may you have at least another 30!
