Eagle River realizes town center goal

The building that failed as a shopping mall is perfect for a town center.  At least that’s the contention of those backing the project…and last night, the Anchorage Assembly unanimously agreed.

Snow? Really? On April 25th? Come on!

Anchorage got a rude surprise today.

It started off innocently enough. The white stuff melted on contact with pavement that had been warmed in recent weeks by strong sunshine and temperatures well above freezing.

But winter’s not going down without a fight. Here’s a little snow video from just outside the KSKA offices this afternoon. Maybe this will break the spell…


For the record, the snow is expected to continue through the night. The National Weather Service has issued a snow advisory and the roads are, of course, a mess. Be careful out there!
