During your April 11 broadcast the subject of gaming arose and I was surprised to find no one mentioning the short-lived Alaska Lottery. If memory serves me it was in existence during the late 80’s for a short period. I do not recall if it was run by the state or by a private entity, and doing a search on Google for “Alaska Lottery” or “Alaska State Lottery” got me nowhere. What made me think of it was someone mentioning that opponents of the idea say that Alaska is too small for a lottery to be successful, which was apparently the case.
