Anchorage teacher faces child molestation charges

The Anchorage School District has placed one of its teachers on unpaid leave after he was charged with child molestation in Washington state. Local police are also investigating at least one alleged incident here in Anchorage.

Anchorage Assembly candidate deadline arrives

Friday afternoon, February 8, at 5:00 p.m. was the deadline for candidates to file for Anchorage’s April 1, 2008 Municipal Election.
The Assembly Clerk’s office is scheduled to post the final ballot proposition list for the April 1 Anchorage Municipal Election sometime after February 17.
