Dr. Woodward: Would you be interested in having two guests on your show this spring who could address Drowning in Alaska? Dr. Jennifer Lincoln of NIOSH in ANC and Jerry Dzugan of the Alaska Marine Safety Org [amsea.org] based in Sitka could provide listeners with recent analysis of the AK data and talk to actions being taken to reduce the fatalities. Tho we have the highest drowning rates in the nation we are also on track with some of the better programs, i.e. note the large reduction in commercial fishing fatalities.
Thank you for your consideration.
