Why can’t I pick up your archeived program “the world” on 12/28/07 at 1:00?
Ms. Tirrell… The World is produced by PRI (Public Radio International) and we do not have the rights to provide copies of it to listeners.
However, they have their own web site and you can find the December 28 edition of their program here…

Hopefully this helps.
Dear John:
I accessed the broadcast I wanted but was looking for the bird section which I know was on about 1:30 that day. It was the day of our first heavy snowfall here in Kasilof.
They were talking about a bird sanctuary in the “Australian Alps” in Victoria, Australia. I need to fastforward to that spot to find out the river they were talking about which started with an “R” and was at least two syllables long. I cannot find this river even on an NG Atlas I have. It was a river that flowed out of “the Australian Alps”.
Help, I have got a professor waiting for this information at the University of San Francisco. Professor James Finch, my step cousin’s husband. I told him about the wonderful birds that sounded like bells singing in this bird sanctury, but could not reember the river’s name or access the site then because I had a so-called illegal MS Window Program at the time of my e-mail to James Finch the same day.
I need your help to get the name of that river to him as soon as possible. He is a world traveler and sends me Christmas letters on his travels. Last year he went to Victoria Falls, Africa which was very informative. If you have a travel section, he might be willing to contribute.
Please help.
Sincerely, Helen
It wasn’t easy to find, but here’s the river you’re looking for…

Dear John:
Thank you so much. I have e-linked both articles to James K. Finch who teaches math and computer science at SFU. Following is a comment on his areas of interest — “computational statistics and scientific visualizations”.
We only correspond at Christmas time as he was married to my favorite step-counsin who died around about l988.
Sincerely, Helen
