Both sides in budget battle claim property tax savings

In about 45 minutes at 6 o’clock, the Anchorage Assembly will begin a rare “continued” session from Tuesday night to complete the municipal budgets for 2008 and 2009. Tonight’s meeting will continue a battle between two budget philosophies, both claiming they want to save the city money.
